Coming up through New York's graffiti scene gave him a fluency that formal training alone can't teach. His stylized digital work carries that influence forward: rich, saturated palettes that channel NYC grit alongside Jamaican warmth, figures rendered with the sharp elegance of African dandyism. He treats historical references not as something precious to preserve, but as raw material to remix—bringing street-level directness to spaces that typically expect reverence.
Nasir Jones was a teenager from Queensbridge writing verses that could see further than most people twice his age. He wasn't famous yet. He was just a kid — standing straight, watching, holding more than anyone around him understood. This is that kid. Full Adidas tracksuit, gold-laced, looking out at the world like he already knows what it owes him and has decided not to wait.
The name Nasir is not incidental. Aesop is placing this boy in a lineage — of poets, of observers, of young Black men who carried entire worlds inside them before anyone thought to ask.
